Undergraduate Programs

University of Oregon undergraduate students must complete an academic major to graduate; they may also complete additional majors, minors, or both.

Minimum requirements are 36 credits in the major, including 24 in upper-division work. Specific requirements are listed under individual departments. Concentrations within majors are additional ways of focusing academic interests, but they do not appear on academic transcripts.

Students choosing to complete a minor must earn a minimum of 24 credits, including 12 in upper-division work. Minor requirements are listed under individual departments. A minor will be awarded only at the time a bachelor’s degree is conferred.

Students choosing to complete an undergraduate certificate must earn a minimum of 36 credits, including 24 upper-division with 12 minimum at the 400-level. A certificate will be awarded only at the time a bachelor’s degree is conferred.
