Global Service Minor
The Global Service Minor and the Peace Corps Prep program both guide students in adding a global, intercultural, service dimension to any major, while encouraging students to reflect on their place in the wider world and their own responsibilities as a global citizen. The requirements for the Global Service minor and the Peace Corps Prep Certificate are identical, and fulfilling requirements for one automatically fulfills requirements for the other. The application process is likewise identical for both, and students may choose to apply for one or both programs simultaneously.
The Global Service minor is a UO degree that, upon completion, will appear on University of Oregon transcripts. Peace Corps Prep is a certificate program for undergraduates awarded by the U.S. Peace Corps, and does not appear on the UO transcript. More info on our website.
In order to elect the Global Service minor, students apply at https://blogs.uoregon.edu/globalservice/apply-for-global-service-minor/ and meet with the program director to select and approve their coursework and other requirements.
