Nonprofit Administration Minor
The School of Planning, Public Policy and Management offers a minor to students interested in a career in the nonprofit sector. Through the minor, you can enhance your undergraduate education to include preparation for occupations and graduate study in nonprofit administration. Nonprofit organizations comprise one of the fastest growing employment sectors in the country, creating a high demand for graduates with tailored knowledge and skills to work for these diverse and exciting entities.
The UO has one of the most comprehensive undergraduate nonprofit programs in the world. With a nonprofit administration (NPA) minor, you’ll gain unique skills and insights through applied coursework and hands-on projects with local professionals and nonprofit organizations. The NPA minor will help you gain a thorough understanding of current nonprofit issues and trends and develop sector-specific skills—one of the reasons NPA graduates rise rapidly to fill positions in their organizations' ranks.

The nonprofit sector is one of the fastest-growing employment sectors in the country, creating a high demand for graduates with specialized skills to work for these diverse and exciting organizations.
Students may declare the minor in nonprofit administration at any time by completing a Qualtrics form available on the PPPM website. Core courses must be taken for letter grades and passed with grades of C– or better, unless offered pass/no pass only.

BA 316 and 317 do not count towards the electives for majors within the College of Business. LCB majors must take MGMT 311 and/or MKTG 311 in place of BA 316 and BA 317.
Credit Restrictions
- Students are allowed to apply up to 4 credits of non-PPPM courses to the elective requirement.
- PPPM majors are allowed to apply up to 8 PPPM credits toward both PPPM major and NPA minor.
- A PPPM minor and a NPA minor can only count PPPM 280 for both minors. All other classes (PPPM electives) need to be different between the minors.
