The Center for Undergraduate Research and Engagement (CURE) serves as the campus hub for providing comprehensive advising and support for undergraduate exploration of research and experiential learning opportunities both internal and external to the UO.  CURE supports students in all eight undergraduate colleges at UO, taking an expansive definition of research encompassing scholarship and creative work in the sciences, social sciences, arts, humanities, and professional schools.  CURE also provides financial support for research experiences, including the First-Year Research Experience (FYRE) Fellowships and Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF), as well as funding for conference travel to present research and small grant awards.  CURE is also part of the the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium planning team and supports students with research presentations and communications.
